Ronjoy Brahma Biography

Ron Brahma is an Indian poet, memoirist, essayist and fiction author who writes in Bodo language. He has been a poet from small age and he began writing poetry whilst a teenager in the Amteka ME School. His poetry has always been a reflection and relevation of his own spiritual experiences. His early poetry express a range of emotions and feelings a spiritual aspirant passes through. In recent years his poetry has evolved its own unique style and is best suited as a guide and inspiration to the spiritual life of a seeker. Many of his poems have a lyrical quality.

He was born on 2nd November 1995 into the Bodo speaking family Lahen Brahma and Sumitra Brahma at Roumari village of Amteka, Chirang district, in North-East India, under Bijini sub-division (now Amguri) . His father is a cultivator, while his mother is a homemaker. He is the third of four children. He has two elder-sisters namely Sonjima Brahma and Ronjima Brahma, and has only younger brother named Prema Brahma. His eldest sister married in 2017, into Baksa district. She read upto BA final (incomplete) , while second sister married before eldest in 2011, then she was passed already her matriculation.

In 2000, when he was 6 years old, he went with his sisters to Primary School at Kumguri Lower Primary School. He was the student of this school class one to class four (from 2000 to 2006) . Later he was studied in Amteka Middle English School from class Five to Seven (from 2006 to 2009) , then he joined Amteka High School in 2009, he studied class 8 to class 10. In 2012, he passed his matriculation examination from Amteka High School, then he went to Bongaigaon district for his higher study and admitted into the Higher Secondary class of Bongaigaon College, Bongaigaon. In 2014 he passed his Pre-university (P.U) examination from this college, under Assam Higher Secondary Education Council and then entered same college for his B.A. academic Three Years Degree Course (TDC) in Bodo Honours, under Gauhati University. He graduated from this college in 2017 with 1st class division, and he got admission Master's Degree in Bodo at Bodoland University, Kokrajhar.

Ronjoy Brahma started writing poetry from his childhood. When he was at twelf then he start his career in literature strongly. He was published his first poem at the age of 16, when he was a student of Amteka High School, then he was studying in class 10th. Early in his literary career, he wrote mainly poetry, and published half a dozen poetry between 2012 to 2015, often with child oppression as a them, and often containing very graphic language. Since then, he is spadually moved on in the path of his literary career, and he has written essays, Short-story, novel and more than thousands poetry he has write till 2015. Many more his articles are published in some of magazines, souvenir, newspapers, wall magazines and e-magazines.

He started writing poetry at a very early age, and was well known as a poet in his own state by the time he graduated from Higher Secondary. He has published three books till date namely Khudiyfwrni Solo (2019) , Lwithw Farse Gwjaolangnai (2023) and Dwiyaonw Thangbai (2024) .
